2-WAY MONITOR

Made in France, Solo6 is a 2-way monitor offering unrivalled transparency, definition control, dynamics and soundstage precision.
Thanks to its full-range Focus Mode, Solo6 forms two monitors in one, preserving the sweet spot during the mix, saving space on the console and simplifying cabling and monitor changes.
In terms of technologies and performance, Solo6 boasts an inverted dome Beryllium tweeter with an ‘M’-shaped protective grille, and a woofer with a ‘W’-shaped cone, as well as a frequency range of up to 10 kHz, specially designed for the Focus Mode. All this on top of Focal’s patented Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology, which reduces distortion in the 1kHz – 3kHz frequency range by 50%, as well as a high-pass crossover, a disengageable automatic standby mode and a 160Hz crossover for reflections from consoles – making Solo6 an industry-leading monitor.
Finally, to enjoy immersive listening experiences with Dolby Atmos® and Sony 360RA® installations, Solo6 includes inserts for attaching it to the wall and ceiling.

High-efficiency professional subwoofer

Active subwoofer

For producers and sound engineers with higher demands in the sub-bass, Focal offers Sub One, a subwoofer that delivers power of 200W RMS. Thanks to its precision and very low distortion, this long-excursion, high-efficiency subwoofer ensures ideal coupling with the Alpha Evo line but also the Shape line of monitors.

The speaker drivers boast an exclusive double-skinned Slatefiber cone: the two cones affixed against each other offer even greater rigidity, ideal for a subwoofer. Finally, with its large vents located on the front panel, Sub One is very easily and discreetly positioned along a wall or under a desktop as it takes up less depth.

Flagship line Alpha 80 Evo is particularly recommended for professionals seeking high volumes and a rich sub-bass extension. This monitor has a 1” (25mm) aluminium inverted dome tweeter and a woofer with a Slatefiber cone, made in France by Focal. Its large laminar vent allows you to significantly limit noises and its dual amplification offers a frequency response from 38Hz to 22kHz (+/- 3dB)..

Alpha 80 Evo is characterised by excellent dynamics, an impressively neutral tonal balance and multiple features (inserts for wall mounting, automatic disengageable stand-by, etc.).

The Alpha Evo monitors are made from a 5/8” (15mm)-thick MDF enclosure and incorporates internal braces to ensure the enclosure's high rigidity, even at the highest levels of sound pressure. 

The reference of the line

Shape 65 is the reference of the Shape line. Although it’s dedicated to nearfield monitoring, this monitor enables extraordinary monitoring quality, in the lowest to the highest frequencies. Simply a must, this monitor will express its full potential from a listening distance of three feet away (1 metre).

The three monitors are all made in France and integrate five innovations to maximise acoustic transparency. Designed to meet the needs of nearfield monitoring, Shape monitors combine an ingenuous design and numerous settings optimised for the acoustics of small listening rooms.
These innovations provide remarkable acoustic transparency. These new work tools distinguish themselves through the wide and extremely precise stereo image. The bass register is articulated and controlled. The lower mid-range and mid-range benefit from extreme neutrality, and without any masking effects, making equalisation of these essential registers much easier. Finally, the new tweeter is what’s at the source of the very high definition. It efficiently reveals any hissing, and it’s also very precise in the very high end.

This standard bearer of the Shape series features two passive radiators, woofers equipped with a new Flax cone, and the latest “M”-shaped Aluminium/Magnesium inverted dome tweeter. Perfect weapon of mass production for professionals.

Shape Twin is made in France, just like Shape 40, 50 and 65. Designed to meet the needs of nearfield monitoring, these monitors combine an ingenuous design and numerous settings optimised for the acoustics of small listening rooms. Shape Twin stands out through its excellent rendering over the whole audio spectrum, its broad frequency response in the low end, and its high SPL considering its size. The compact design makes it easy to integrate even into the most cramped of rooms. Finally, its 2.5-way design gives it a real advantage when it comes to controlling the bass and lower mid-range registers which are the hardest to control in small rooms.

Shape Twin’s five innovations present a remarkable tonal balance, with very wide and precise stereo imaging. The low frequencies are well defined  as well as controlled. The low-mid and mid ranges provide a true neutral sound.
